I’m Ashley van de Scheur, 24 years old and living in The Netherlands.
On this website you can see some of my latest work. Just not on this page.
Here I’m supposed to be telling you some things about me. I’m not really the type to talk about myself, but hey…
Maybe you want to get to know me better… So here we go!
After four years of studying photography, at ROC A12 in Ede, I graduated in 2017. During my study and internships, I was very interested by food- and product photography. But something changed…
Besides photography, a different hobby of mine is sport. So, in 2016 I became a member of BASE Lifestyleand started training about two/three times a week.
So, when Marco Brienissen, owner of BASE Lifestyle, asked me to photograph a training for him, I knew I wanted to do sport photography!
The best part about sport photography is of course the nice feedback you get from the athletes. The athletes know you’re walking around, but because they are so focused during an event or training, they won’t even notice you.
But after the event they can’t wait to see the photos. Which is the best thing to hear!
Because I like to train as well, I’ll know where to look and find the right moments.
And that’s how I’m able to capture those great moments by and for the athletes.
